The Timeliness of God's Fatherly Kindness

Today I received something that blessed me beyond what words can express. It was something I hoped for, but did not expect. It was something I had given up as impossible. It was something I needed. It was something I had begged God for just yesterday. And at just the perfect time, God in His wonderful kindness took great pleasure in giving me just what I wanted and needed.

I had asked for it before. Many times. I've wanted it a long time. He could have given it to me several weeks ago and I would have been thrilled. But, God knew when I needed it the most. I can't express how it feels to receive something you need at the moment you need it the most. It's perfect. And it causes me to look to the Giver...in all His wisdom and generosity. He is the perfect Father who knows how to give perfect gifts to His children...at just the perfect time.

"But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness." - Psalm 69.13
